Wild Flowers of Hurricane Ridge

Well, It has taken me a few days to get to the Flowers. The SBA had thumb surgery yesterday and we tried to get a few things done before the big event. (Thumb is doing quite well but will need to be kept straight for 3-4 weeks). I bought the book "Wildflowers of the Olympics and Cascades" by Charles Stewart. I have tried to correctly identify the flowers that we saw. However, I'm not at all sure about some of them. It's not so easy to go from the pictures we took to the pictures in the book. I'll just be doing my best. No guarantees regarding accuracy!!!

A Woolly Sunflower

Western False Bugbane

Lupine and bugbane

Lupine

Bluebells of Scotland

Wandering Fleabane

Paintbrush

Probably Lyall's Lupine

Glacier Lily

You can tell I liked the glacier Lily!

The lovely Nootka Rose

Well, as I said, I did my best to identify these lovely flowers. Tomorrow we are heading over to the beach for a day or so. I'll try to post some great pictures from there. Thanks for sharing these photos !
